The SAPO has created a commission for an internal investigation into a possible data leak
The Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office Oleksandr Klymenko created a commission to conduct an internal investigation into a possible leak of information from pre-trial investigations conducted by the NABU and the SAPO.
He made the corresponding decision based on the report of one of the SAPO prosecutors, who is conducting procedural management in the case of a large-scale corruption scheme in the energy sector and a number of other investigations. The internal control department of the SAPO has been entrusted with conducting the internal investigation. Its results may serve as a basis for making administrative or procedural decisions.
As a reminder, on the morning of November 10, the publication “Ukrainska Pravda” citing its own sources reported that NABU detectives conducted searches at the home of businessman and co-owner of the company “Kvartal 95” Tymur Mindich. According to the publication, he left the territory of Ukraine the day before. The State Border Guard Service noted that they did not have access to information about his departure.
“Ukrainian Pravda” also claims that the first deputy head of the SAPO, Andriy Synyuk, had access to several high-profile cases and allegedly held “confidential meetings” before Mindich’s departure. Synyuk himself, in a comment to journalists, stated that he did not “leak” any information and did not have access to materials that could relate to Mindich or the company “Energoatom”.
