The State Bureau of Investigation continues systematic work to protect national security and critical infrastructure, paying special attention to the stability of gas supply.

In May 2022, the SBI initiated the seizure of the corporate rights of 26 operators of gas distribution systems (GDS), which were transferred to the management of Chornomornaftogaz JSC. However, on June 25, 2024, the High Anti-Corruption Court overturned the arrest of 21 operators at the request of their owners.
By order of the CMU, these assets were transferred to the management of the Joint-Stock Company “State Joint-Stock Company “Chornomornaftogaz”.
The SBI promptly reacted to this decision and already on June 27 submitted a request for re-seizure of assets. Thanks to coordinated work with the General Prosecutor’s Office, on June 28, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv granted the request and reinstated the arrest.
