There are currently approximately 700,000 Russian military personnel in Ukraine. reported this by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Andriy Yusov.
As Yusov explained, this number includes not only regular units, but also support forces, special services and the Russian Guard. The largest group is located in the Donetsk region, which demonstrates the main direction of concentration of the enemy. Answering the question about the presence of North Korean soldiers on the territory of Ukraine, Yusov emphasized that they remain only on the territory of Russia.
Previously, the spokesman of the operational-strategic group of troops “ Dnipro” Viktor Tregubov reported that there are twice as many Russian soldiers in the Pokrovsky area as there were residents of the city before the war began – 110,000 against 60,000.
“It seems that they gathered such a horde to take an average European country”, – he said.
The Russian army constantly suffers significant losses: according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, 800 to 850 soldiers die every day. Since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Russia has lost more than a million of its military personnel.
