As a result of a Russian strike, a large-scale fire broke out in Kharkiv, there are casualties

On the night of January 28, a fire with an area of ​​about 1,500 square meters broke out in Kharkiv due to an attack by a Russian drone. The flames engulfed industrial premises in the Novobavarsky district, two people were injured. About this informs State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

“Tonight, the enemy launched an unmanned aerial vehicle attack on the territory of a civilian enterprise in the Novobavarsky district of the city. As a result of the shelling, a large-scale fire occurred on an area of ​​1,500 square meters. The production premises were on fire.”, says the message.

A “Shakhed” type drone hit the territory of a civilian enterprise, probably a woodworking shop. As a result of the impact, the gas pipeline, which was used in production processes, was damaged. This caused a large-scale fire with intense fire spread. More than 12 divisions of the State Emergency Service, as well as the equipment of the Kharkiv City Council, were involved in its liquidation.

“There is information about two victims, they have an acute reaction to stress. But they are not employees of the enterprise, there was no one here at the time of the hit. They are residents of the surrounding areas.” – Bohdan Gladkikh, director of the city emergency department, said.

According to preliminary data, 2 people were injured (acute reaction to stress): a woman born in 1955. and a child born in 2015 Two drones crashed in the Kyiv district of the city, there were no casualties.

Another explosion rang out in the suburbs of Kharkiv around four in the morning, after which a private house and a garage caught fire. It was preliminarily established that the fire was caused by the impact of a Russian attack drone. Currently, the elimination of the fire and the analysis of the debris are ongoing, and the State Emergency Service is clarifying information about possible victims.
