The head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine (SCAU) has submitted his resignation, and soon the agency is waiting for a new head, who will be appointed based on the results of the competition. About this reported Herman Smetanin, Minister of Strategic Industries.
According to Smetanin, a candidacy for the position of acting head of the agency is currently being considered, and at the same time, a competitive commission is being formed that will elect a new head. The minister expressed hope that this issue will be resolved in the near future.
“The incumbent (head) has written a statement to resign, a new acting deputy is now being appointed, and at the same time we are currently forming a commission that will elect a new head of the State Space Agency. I think that we will close this issue in the coming months and appoint a person there to she worked”, – noted Smetanin.
The minister acknowledged the presence of problems in the functioning of the agency due to a lack of funds in the state budget.
“Indeed, there is a problem and we are working on it”, he concluded.
