The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry summoned diplomats from India and Pakistan over their support for Russia’s statements about the “attack on Putin’s residence”
On December 31, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine invited the chargé d’affaires of India and Pakistan for separate talks due to their statements that actually support claims about an alleged attack on the residence of the Russian president. This was reported by the MFA.
The message notes that the heads of governments of these countries expressed solidarity with Moscow after reports of an alleged strike by 91 Ukrainian drones on the residence of the Russian President on December 29.
The MFA stressed the need for the leaders of India and Pakistan to express concern over Russia’s real attacks on civilian objects in Ukraine and demonstrate support for our state, which has been suffering from unprovoked Russian aggression for the fourth year.
Similar measures were taken by the Ukrainian embassy in the UAE, as well as in the countries of Central Asia, to convey Ukraine’s position on the inadmissibility of spreading Russian propaganda and disrupting the peace process.
Previously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced Ukraine’s strikes on Putin’s residence and the threat of revising the negotiating position, but President Volodymyr Zelensky denied this information.
