The United States is considering sending troops to Ukraine if the Russian Federation refuses peace

US Vice President JD Vance said that if Russia refuses peace talks, Washington may introduce new sanctions and consider sending troops to Ukraine. About this informs The Wall Street Journal.

According to Vance, the further development of events will depend on whether Moscow maintains a constructive approach in negotiations aimed at ensuring the stability and long-term independence of Ukraine.

The US position is that both economic and military measures remain response options if the Kremlin continues to escalate. Vance noted that it is still too early to say what part of the Ukrainian territory will remain under the occupation of Russia or what security guarantees will be offered to Ukraine by the United States and its allies.

“There are any number of formulations, configurations, but we make sure that Ukraine has sovereign independence.” he emphasized.

Vance also emphasized that the administration of President Donald Trump will try to convince Vladimir Putin that the diplomatic path will bring more benefits to Russia than the continuation of hostilities.
