The Verkhovna Rada postponed consideration of changes to taxation for individual entrepreneurs
The issue of a possible revision of the working conditions of individual entrepreneurs (IEOs) and the introduction of value-added tax for entrepreneurs has been temporarily removed from the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada. This was reported by MP Ihor Fris.
According to him, during a meeting of the parliamentary faction it was announced that the initiative on IEOs and VAT is not currently being discussed, and there are currently no votes in support of such a decision. The state plans to look for other sources of budget funding, rather than increasing the tax burden on entrepreneurs.
Fris also emphasized that the priority for the authorities is to preserve the basic principles of individual entrepreneurs’ activities and guarantee support for small businesses. “It is definitely not worth finding additional funds in the pockets of entrepreneurs,” he noted.
Earlier, the head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Danylo Getmantsev, called for not changing tax conditions for entrepreneurs working on a simplified taxation system.
For reference, the State Tax Service reports that the personal income tax provides about a third of revenues to the general budget. In the first ten months of this year, payers transferred 507.8 billion hryvnias, which is 18.4% more than in the same period last year.
