The Verkhovna Rada proposes to make public the whereabouts of conscripted relatives of top officials for their mobilization
The Verkhovna Rada proposes to make public the whereabouts of conscripted relatives of ministers and top officials, for the possibility of their mobilization.
This applies to close relatives of ministers, as well as active civil servants of categories “A” and “B”, it is stated in draft law No. 11253.
People’s deputies Serhiy Kuzminykh, Anna Skorokhod and Heorhiy Mazurashu are the authors of the draft resolution.
The draft resolution proposes:
- Publish on the government portal information about the actual location/stay of conscripts (name, year of birth, degree of kinship) – close relatives (husband, wife, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, brother/sister) of members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and as well as active civil servants of categories “A” and “B” for the period from February 24, 2022 to the present time.
- To take, within three months from the date of adoption of this Resolution, the measures provided for by law with the aim of legal regulation of relations between the state and the conscripted citizens specified in Clause 1 of this Resolution in connection with the need for them to fulfill their constitutional obligation to protect the Motherland, independence and territorial integrity integrity of Ukraine, through military service.
- Put control over the implementation of this resolution on the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
This draft resolution was initiated in response to public statements that some ministers and top officials of Ukraine have close relatives who do not undergo military service while abroad.
The authors of the project believe that the publication of information about the location of these persons will contribute to ensuring justice and trust in the authorities on the part of society.
