The war will end in 2025 either with peace negotiations or with the destruction of one of the sides: Viktor Orbán

The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, predicted that the war in Ukraine will end in 2025, assuming two possible scenarios — peace negotiations or the complete destruction of one of the parties to the conflict. That’s what he’s about stated in an interview with Magyar Nemzet.

Orban criticized Western countries for spending to support Ukraine, noting that the funds, amounting to about 300 billion euros, could instead be directed to raising the standard of living in Europe, developing the Balkans or creating a new European defense system.

“We entered into a conflict with Russia, which turned out to be beyond our control.” – emphasized the Hungarian Prime Minister.

According to him, Ukraine is experiencing huge losses: a fifth of its territory is under occupation, hundreds of thousands of people have died, been injured or become disabled, and the country’s infrastructure has suffered destruction that will make economic stability impossible in the near future.

Orbán also expressed his position on Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him an “honest partner” of Hungary.
