There is not a single National Police officer in uniform with a disability, all facts of its provision are checked: Interior Minister

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, has assured that none of the current National Police officers in uniform has a disability status.

There is not a single uniformed National Police officer with a disability. I am responsible for telling you this,’ Klymenko said in his speech on Friday at the Verkhovna Rada plenary session during the Hour of Questions to the Government.

He called the accusations in this regard absurd and stressed that the checks were carried out thoroughly.

The minister also announced that all cases of disability granted to rank-and-file members of the security forces had been checked.

All cases of disability granting to rank-and-file employees in law enforcement agencies are also currently being checked. And those who received such a disability during the war will undergo repeated medicalexaminations and medical examinations,’ Klymenko added at the same meeting.

He urged the MPs to invite the deputy ministers or the head of the National Police to the committee to report.

We will be happy to provide the information we have established by then in a few weeks,’ the minister concluded.
