This year, imports in Ukraine doubled exports
In Ukraine, for January-September 2025, the volume of imports was $60.1 billion, while exports were $29.5 billion. This was notified by the State Customs Service.
Taxed imports amounted to $45.9 billion, which is equal to 76% of the total volume of imported goods. The most products were imported from China ($13.3 billion), Poland ($5.7 billion) and Germany ($4.8 billion). Poland ($3.7 billion), Turkey ($2.1 billion) and Germany ($1.8 billion) became the largest export destinations.
The main share of imports for nine months was made up of machinery, equipment and transport in the amount of $23.8 billion, which provided UAH 148.3 billion of customs payments or 29% of their total revenues. Products of the chemical industry were imported for $9.4 billion, while the budget received UAH 72.9 billion (14% of customs duties). Fuel and energy goods worth $7.6 billion were imported, providing UAH 146.6 billion in customs payments, which is also 29%.
In the structure of exports, the first place was taken by food products at $16.2 billion. In second place – metals and their products at $3.4 billion, and in third place – machines, equipment and transport at $2.8 billion. During this period, during the customs clearance of goods subject to export duty, UAH 641.9 million was paid to the state budget.
