To the Day of Ukrainian Cinema, screenings of the film “Your Voices” will be held in Kyiv.

For Cinema Day, the Ukrainian Cultural Fund (UCF) will organize film screenings in Kyiv under the title “Svoi golosy”. The program includes the tapes “Pamfir” Dmytro Sukholotky-Sobchuk, “I, Nina” Marisa Nikityuk and “Stop Earth” Kateryna Gornostay.

“Your voices” will unite films created with the support of UKF. Screenings will be held on September 13 at the “Line of Cinema” (Magelan Shopping Center, Teremky St.). Entry is free with prior registration.

“These are tapes that conduct an honest and deep dialogue with modern Ukraine: about war and hope, personal stories and national memory. Each of the films is a voice of culture that does not remain silent even in times of trials, says the organizers.

Before the film screenings, a panel discussion is planned on the strategic role of state policy in supporting national cinema during the war. There they will talk about grant programs for artists and how cinema becomes a tool of cultural diplomacy and promotion of Ukraine in the world.

As part of the event, the pre-premiere documentary by Volodymyr Klyuyev “ Thunder in the Clear Sky” about the pilot of the attack aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Rostislav Lazarenko with the call sign Thunder, as well as the tapes “Stop-Earth”, “I work at the cemetery”, “I, Nina”, “Our cats”, “Lya” Palisade” and “Pamphyr”.

Executive director of the UKF Anastasiya Obraztsova emphasized that meetings with the creative teams are planned after each screening:

“We will talk about modern Ukrainian reality through art cinema: from war to personal loss, from teenage experiences to issues of dignity and choice. Cinema allows us to experience human vulnerability in the darkest and brightest moments of our lives.

In addition, viewers will have a chance to win promotional codes for watching films and series with Ukrainian dubbing on SweetTV. To do this, you will need to take a photo next to a special banner and publish a photo in Instagram stories with the tags UKF and SweetTV.
