Trump accused Obama of revealing UFO secrets: NASA comment
US President Donald Trump claims that his predecessor Barack Obama allegedly revealed a state secret about the existence of extraterrestrial life.
NASA’s response stated that they adhere to the principle of transparency, and the phenomena that the heads of state encounter are “more related to expensive programs than to extraterrestrial life.”
Obama first jokingly mentioned extraterrestrial beings on Brian Tyler Cohen’s podcast, later explaining on Instagram that he meant the possibility of life in space, not contact with Earth: “The distances between planetary systems are so great that the probability of aliens visiting us is low. During my presidency, I have not seen any evidence of contact. Seriously!”
Trump managed to accuse Obama of disclosure of classified information and told Truth Social of his intention to instruct government agencies to release more data on extraterrestrial life and UFOs.
NASA confirmed that it will continue to openly provide data to the public, noting that some of the phenomena encountered by officials are more related to expensive programs than contacts with extraterrestrial beings. At the same time, the agency emphasized the restrictions on confidential information and data related to decision-making.
