Trump announced a possible plan for nuclear disarmament of the US, China and Russia

US President Donald Trump said on November 5 that the United States, China and Russia could work together on a nuclear disarmament plan, without specifying details. He announced this during a speech at the American Business Forum in Miami.

“We have upgraded our nuclear program – we are the number one nuclear power, and I don’t even like to admit it because it’s terrible. Russia is second. China is way behind, but they will catch up with us in four or five years. We may be working on a plan to denuclearize our three countries. We’ll see if it works,” Trump explained.

As a reminder, in late October, Donald Trump announced that he had instructed the Pentagon to resume nuclear weapons testing in order to “level the playing field” with other states conducting their own testing. He stressed that during his first term in the White House, the United States had “completely updated and modernized” its nuclear weapons arsenal.

“The United States has more nuclear weapons than any other country. Because of their enormous destructive power, I didn’t want to do it, but I had no choice, the US president stressed.

He also noted that Russia ranks second in terms of the number of nuclear warheads, and China – third, but, according to him, it could reach the US level within five years. Trump added that the testing process would begin immediately.
