Trump intends to deport migrants from Ohio after claims they eat cats and dogs

US presidential candidate Donald Trump has promised to organize a mass deportation of migrants from Haiti if he wins the presidential election in November. He made this statement during a speech in Springfield (Ohio) transmits Reuters.
Trump made this promise at a rally in Las Vegas, Reuters reports. It is worth noting that earlier, during a debate with his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, Trump said that Haitian migrants in the state of Ohio allegedly eat pets. His words then became a reason for ridicule.
This time, he did not repeat that statement, but once again expressed his strong intention to deport the Haitians because he believes that illegal immigrants have taken over the city of Springfield. He also made harsh accusations against the Haitians, saying that there are criminals among them who pose a threat to local residents.
However, as Reuters notes, most of the 15,000 Haitian migrants in Springfield are there legally.
The debate between Trump and Harris became one of the important political events of this campaign. During the first meeting of the candidates, Trump mostly expressed populist ideas, while Harris tried to respond more constructively. Among the topics they discussed were the economy, the issue of migrants and the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Trump has twice avoided a direct answer to questions about his support for Ukraine, saying again that he is capable of ending the war within 24 hours. Harris, for her part, expressed the opinion that Trump, becoming president, will actually allow Putin to seize Kyiv, and then Europe. She warned that negotiating with a dictator is pointless because “he will just take advantage of the situation.”
According to many experts, Harris came out the winner in this debate because Trump constantly tried to defend himself, focusing on the topic of migrants and blaming Democrats for all the problems, while Harris acted more calmly and measuredly.
