US President Donald Trump has announced that Joe Biden will be stripped of his classified information and stop providing him with daily intelligence reports. About this informs The Guardian.
“There is absolutely no need for Joe Biden to continue to have access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking his clearance and terminating his daily intelligence briefings.”, Trump said, adding that Biden “has a bad memory and cannot be trusted with confidential information.”
The decision came in response to Biden’s actions in 2021, when he denied Trump access to classified materials after the storming of the Capitol on January 6 and his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Former presidents usually retain access to certain intelligence materials even after their term ends.
We will remind that earlier Trump also revoked the access to secret information of more than 50 former intelligence officers.
