Trump said he would not punish Russia with sanctions for the attack on Sumy

US President Donald Trump said he would not impose sanctions against Russia after the bloody attack on Sumy, which killed 35 people. That’s what he’s about reported during a meeting with the President of El Salvador, Naib Bukele.
In response to a question about whether Russia will be punished with sanctions for this attack, Trump noted that he had already imposed restrictions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and allegedly blocked it.
“I have already imposed sanctions against Russia. If you remember Nord Stream 2. It was a big pipeline that goes through Europe. I stopped it. It’s a Russian pipeline. The biggest pipeline in the world, I think. It goes to Germany. And I stopped it.” Trump said.
After that, he again placed the blame on Biden and his administration, before quickly ending his response without specifying whether new sanctions against Russia were planned.
We will remind that on the morning of April 13, on Palm Sunday, Russian troops committed a war crime by striking the center of Sumy with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, more than 30 people, including children, died. Dozens of residents were injured.
