Ukraine and the US plan to sign a “drone agreement”: Svyrydenko

Ukraine and the United States are conducting substantive negotiations regarding the conclusion of an agreement on American investment in the production of Ukrainian drones. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyridenko, during a speech to journalists in Kyiv together with other newly appointed ministers. transmits Reuters.

Svyridenko noted that as a result of this agreement, the United States — Ukraine’s main military ally in the war with Russia — plans to purchase Ukrainian drones.

“We plan to sign a “drone agreement” with the United States. We are discussing investments in expanding the production of Ukrainian drones in the United States. That is, we are talking about the purchase of a large batch of Ukrainian drones.”, — said the head of the government.

She added that the political decision on the deal has already been made by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and US President Donald Trump, and the relevant services are currently working on the details.

It will be recalled that on July 17, Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine and the United States are negotiating a “large-scale” agreement, according to which the United States will purchase Ukrainian combat drones, and in return, Ukraine will purchase a certain amount of American weapons.

As Zelensky noted, during his last negotiations with Trump, this agreement, which provides for mutual support of aviation technologies between Washington and Kyiv, became the main topic. The President of Ukraine emphasized that the state is ready to transfer the experience and knowledge gained during the full-scale war with Russia.
