Ukraine has become the world leader in the level of depression: WHO

Ukraine topped the world ranking for the highest level of depression: this indicator is 6.3%. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression has affected 2 million 800 thousand Ukrainians.
Regarding the number of population, Ukraine takes the sad first place in the ranking, ahead of the USA, Australia and Estonia, where the level of depression is 5.9%.
Overall, depression is a common global problem, affecting approximately 3.4% of the world’s population, according to Our World In Data. According to estimates, 264 million people in the world suffer from it.

Countries with high levels of depression are located on almost every continent, but the Pacific islands of Oceania have the lowest levels of depression on Earth.
