Ukraine has developed a Roadmap for the development of aviation capabilities according to NATO standards
Ukraine has developed a Roadmap for the development of aviation capabilities that meets NATO standards. Within the scope of the Air Force Coalition, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, presented this document to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
“The road map was developed on the basis of NATO’s Air Power Doctrine – it is a strategic document on the principles and methods of using the Alliance’s Air Force for security and deterring aggression. This doctrine is key to NATO’s defense strategy, and it is based on the training of new Alliance members and partners.”, – said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The main goal of the document is to strengthen Ukraine’s ability to use air power within the framework of joint operations and cooperation with NATO, to effectively strike the enemy in the conditions of current aggression, as well as to ensure deterrence and prevention of enemy advance in the future. The roadmap is structured according to the key functions defined in the Alliance’s doctrine.
“Thanks to this document, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will gain the ability to deter enemy aggression through the ability to use air power according to NATO standards.” – emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
