Ukraine has imposed sanctions on a number of people and companies: Zelensky signs decree

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved new sanctions against individuals and companies by signing a decree №692/2024 after the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) dated October 5, 2024. This document establishes personal special economic and other restrictive measures for a period of three years.

The sanctions concern 18 limited liability companies registered in Ukraine, as well as several citizens. Among individuals, such well-known names as Oleksandr Akst, Valery Falkovskiy and Vladyslav Studenets were subject to restrictions.

The list of legal entities against which sanctions have been imposed includes the following companies:

  • “Herman logistics service”;
  • “Premium package of GMBH & Co. KG”;
  • “Trade investment event”;
  • “Rainiz Trade Group”;
  • “Blokrial”;
  • “Ukrvikbud”;
  • “Mitrakort”;
  • “Grandmist”;
  • “Bonentorg”;
  • “Construction company “Rembudmontazh””;
  • “Green impex”;
  • “Prime Trader”;
  • “Clyde Industries”;
  • “Areoma”;
  • “Business track”;
  • “Alfagalaxy”;
  • “Baritrend”;
  • “Lenox Trading”.
  • These companies were sanctioned due to suspicion of conducting activities that threaten the economic security of the state or contribute to corruption schemes. Control over the implementation of this decision is entrusted to the secretary of the National Security Council. The decree enters into force from the moment of its official publication.

Regarding natural persons subject to sanctions in this decision:

  • Oleksandr Akst is a German citizen who controlled the Premium Package company. She was involved in the illegal import of contraband clothing with a total weight of four tons.
  • Valery Falkovskyi is the former head of customs clearance department No. 3 of the Odesa-cargo customs post. After his release, he did not submit his official certificate, which raises suspicions about his future activities.
  • Vladyslav Studenets is a businessman associated with a number of companies, some of which have ceased to operate, while others continue to operate, in particular in Odesa.

These individuals have already been under NSDC sanctions since 2021, but the new restrictions tighten control and make their further economic activity in Ukraine impossible.
