Ukrainian robot developer Tencore tests its own electric motors

Ukrainian defense company Tencore, together with a partner, is developing its own electric motors for ground robotic complexes. They should become a more effective alternative to Chinese counterparts.

According to the company’s director Maksym Vasylchenko, the engine has already passed laboratory tests and is currently being tested in field conditions.

“Our goal was not to copy, but to develop engines specifically for NRCs that would be more efficient compared to Chinese engines,” Vasylchenko noted.

He added that Tencore is already manufacturing additional samples for installation on other products before further scaling up production.

In parallel, the company has developed its own electronics for ground robots, including boards, relays, and motor drivers. This should reduce dependence on Chinese components.

The development is taking place against the backdrop of the active approval of new Ukrainian defense products for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including unmanned systems, FPV systems, and remotely controlled combat modules.
