Ukraine plans to completely digitize the entire social support system

Over the past two and a half years, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has carried out large-scale digitization of the social support system and plans to complete the transfer of all services to electronic format by the end of 2025. About this reported Deputy Minister of Social Policy Daria Marchak.
According to Marchak, digitalization made it possible to create a database that significantly increases the effectiveness of “targeting” of social assistance, providing more accurate and targeted support for citizens.
In September, the Ministry presented the new “Social Portal”. On this platform, users can find all the necessary information about social services, submit an online application or appeal, and leave messages about people or families who need help. In the future, it is planned to expand the functionality of the portal for even greater integration of services.
In addition, the Ministry of Social Policy, together with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is discussing the possibility of integrating social services into the Diya application or creating a separate service to inform Ukrainians abroad about available vacancies on the labor market.
Marchak noted that this tool can contribute to the return of citizens who have gone abroad, because it will provide an opportunity to find out in advance about the availability of jobs in specific specialties.
“In order to return these people, in addition to stabilizing the security situation, before the end of the war, it is necessary to solve the problem on the labor market… So far, it seems to me, we are offering them a black ribbon – “you will come to Ukraine and then you will understand, you will be able to find here job or not, will you be able to find housing or not”, – she emphasized.
