Ukraine synchronized sanctions with Great Britain and applied restrictions in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions
Ukraine synchronized sanctions with Great Britain, and also applied restrictions in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed two decrees, which put into effect the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. The first document provides for the synchronization of Ukrainian sanctions with British restrictions.
“The restrictions were applied against eight individuals and 40 legal entities. These include, in particular, citizens of Russia, Azerbaijan, Singapore and New Zealand, who are involved in the forced deportation and re-education of Ukrainian children, as well as in the supply to the Russian Federation of electronics and dual-use components used to produce missiles and drones with which Russia strikes Ukrainian cities and communities, the report says.
Companies from Russia, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Turkey, India and Singapore were also sanctioned. According to the OP, these structures, in particular, contribute to the circumvention of international restrictions, supply industrial equipment, aviation components, parts for Shahed drones, computer chips and other microelectronics for the needs of the Russian military-industrial complex. Individual companies are involved in the functioning of the Russian energy sector, the import of Russian oil, and the operation of the so-called shadow fleet.
The second presidential decree concerns the introduction of sanctions against the military leadership of South Sudan. They were introduced in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, as well as decisions and regulations of the Council of the European Union in connection with the situation in this country.
In November, Ukraine synchronized its sanctions with the United States, introducing restrictions against Rosneft and Lukoil, and also joined the 19th package of EU sanctions against Russia.
In total, during this year, Ukraine agreed on 14 partner sanctions packages: two with the United States, two with the United Kingdom, eight with the European Union, as well as one package each with Canada and Japan.
