Ukraine to create state infrastructure for AI development
The creation of the first state infrastructure for the development of artificial intelligence — AI Factory — is starting in Ukraine. About this reported Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Digital Development, Education, Science and Technology.
According to him, Ukraine aims to become one of the three world leaders in the field of development and implementation of AI by 2030. AI Factory involves the creation of computer clusters based on graphics processors (GPU), the construction of water-cooled server rooms and modern data storage systems. Such an infrastructure will significantly speed up the work of state AI services, while all data will be processed and stored exclusively in Ukraine.
The first users of the new platform will be the AI assistant in the “Action” application and the AI tutor in the “Dream” project. In the future, the AI Factory will serve as a technical basis for the development of artificial intelligence in the fields of defense, medicine and science.
The project also provides for the creation of software for training, implementation and monitoring of models, integration with state registers, as well as the development of tools for cleaning and annotation of data. In addition, it is planned to train specialists who will work on state AI products, in particular in the field of security and defense.
