Ukraine will perform at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris
The National Committee of Disabled Sports of Ukraine (NKSIU) has confirmed the participation of the Ukrainian national team in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, despite the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to the competition under a neutral flag.
About it on press conference announced the president of the National Committee of Disabled Sports of Ukraine Valery Sushkevich.
He stated that the Ukrainian team will fight for victory in 17 of the 22 sports presented at the Games. Currently, 113 Ukrainian Paralympians have already obtained licenses, and a total of 207 athletes are expected to participate.
“We continue the fight for licenses in 4 more sports. The qualification process will last until mid-July, and we hope to increase the representation of Ukraine at the Paralympics“, – Valery Sushkevich
The head of the NKSIU emphasized that Ukraine’s participation in the Games is an important element of the fight for the country’s victory and a demonstration of the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit in the face of Russian aggression.
