Ukraine will receive 100 air defense missiles from Britain by the end of May
British Defense Minister Grant Shapps announced his country’s intention to transfer 100 air defense missiles to Ukraine by the end of May. This decision was made in response to the intensification of Russian offensive actions in the Kharkiv region, which causes concern among Western allies.
About this informs The Sun.
Minister Shapps emphasized the need for urgent and comprehensive support of Ukraine from all countries that value their freedom. He urged not to be limited to words, but to take decisive action to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine repel the illegal invasion.
“The events of the past week should serve as a wake-up call for the West. Warm words are not enough. Every nation that values its freedom should do everything possible as soon as possible so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can repel the illegal invasion“, — Minister of Defense Grant Shapps
Since the beginning of May, Great Britain has already provided Ukraine with 80 air defense missiles, and another 20 will be delivered by June. In addition, more than 30 pallets of parts, including anti-mine equipment, and more than a million rounds of ammunition were transferred.
British aid also includes 20 Viking armored amphibious vehicles and more than 4,000 pieces of military clothing.
