Ukrainian airline XENA carried out 450 firefighting missions in Turkey and Montenegro

In the 2025 operating season, the Ukrainian airline XENA performed 450 missions in Turkey and Montenegro, where AN-32P aircraft participated in firefighting operations. This was reported by the airline.

The company ended the season with the highest efficiency in the history of firefighting operations involving this type of aircraft. XENA aircraft performed 434 targeted drops, using 3,472,000 liters of water and firefighting fluid to extinguish fires. The flights were operated from 14 airports in Turkey and Montenegro.

“The reliability of the AN-32P aircraft was maintained by preventive maintenance and coordinated engineering support, which allowed the season to be completed without interruption”, the message states.

In July 2025, the airline set absolute records for efficiency in operations with the AN-32P in terms of the number of flight hours, missions, discharges and the volume of cargo delivered.

XENA is the only commercial operator of the AN-32P aircraft in the world and specializes in providing highly effective firefighting aviation services.

The increase in efficiency in 2025 was made possible by improved work tactics, the use of advanced airfields, rapid resource redistribution, and the use of paired flights of two aircraft simultaneously.

“The 2025 season confirmed that Ukrainian aviation is capable of setting world standards of efficiency and safety in the most demanding international markets. The results of our team are the technical excellence of the AN-32P and the exceptional skill of Ukrainian crews, who face the elements every day. In 2026, we are ready to scale operations in Europe, keeping safety as the number one priority, – said the founder of XENA Roman Mileshko. The company plans to expand its activities in Europe and is preparing for new international contracts. High safety and quality standards, confirmed by the results of 2025, will become the foundation of this plan. Since 2021, XENA has completed more than 1,300 firefighting missions and delivered more than 10 million liters of fire extinguishing fluid in Turkey, Georgia and Montenegro.
