Ukrainian drones attacked the largest oil depot in Crimea
On the night of October 6, Ukrainian drones attacked airfields “Saki” and “Kacha”, explosions were heard in Feodosia, Yevpatoria and Simferopol district. This is reported by monitoring channel “Crimean wind”.
“At the Feodosia oil filling terminal, two powerful sources of fire have been recorded”, the report says.
The fire after the attack engulfed 12 fuel tanks, 8 of which burned completely. In addition, buildings on the territory of the terminal were destroyed. The glow of the fire at the oil depot in Feodosia is visible from a distance of more than 30 kilometers.
The oil base in Feodosia is the largest in Crimea and can store up to 250,000 tons of fuel, which is supplied both for the Russian fleet and the ground forces. Previously, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the oil depot in October last year, then the city authorities introduced a man-made state of emergency. It was reported that since the fall of 2022, Pantsir-S1 air defense systems, designed to protect the facility from attacks, have been standing next to the oil depot. According to satellite images analyzed by Crimean Wind, 22 of the 34 fuel tanks remained intact after the previous strikes.
“According to our data, the flight arrived at the oil depot in Feodosia at 01.40. In the past 7 hours, neither Gauleiter Aksyonov nor his mouthpiece Konstantinov have said a word about the incident. They pretend that nothing happened, – notes “Krymskiy veter”.
