Ukrainian medicine will receive $454 million from the World Bank
Ukraine will receive 454 million dollars from the World Bank for the development of the health care sector, in particular for priority financing of the medical guarantee program. About this reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, these funds will be allocated within the framework of the THRIVE project, which is designed to support the reform of the health care system and increase its efficiency in wartime conditions. Financing is provided with the support of the Japanese government, the World Bank, and a grant from the URTF Foundation.
Shmyhal emphasized that THRIVE is part of a wider international aid to Ukraine, which also covers the fields of education, transport, energy, agriculture and other sectors affected by Russian aggression.
“I am grateful to the management of the World Bank, the Government of Japan and all partners for their important and timely support. Despite the challenges, we continue our consistent movement to strengthen and develop Ukraine”, — said the head of the government.
