Ukrainian schools will receive money for the construction of shelters from the UNITED24 platform

This year, Ukrainian schools will receive UAH 2.5 billion from the government for the construction or repair of shelters. In addition, educational institutions receive funds for arranging storage facilities from international organizations and volunteers. For example, three schools in Odesa and Cherkasy will receive almost 9 million hryvnias for shelter from the UNITED24 platform.

In particular, 2.07 million hryvnias will be allocated for the arrangement of the storage facility for the Dmytroshkiv Lyceum (Uman district of the Cherkasy region), 2.5 million hryvnias will be allocated to the Bolgrad Lyceum No. 2 of the Bolgrad City Council of the Odesa region, and the Tatarbunar Lyceum (Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky district of the Odesa region) will receive 4 .3 million hryvnias.

The Dmytroshkiv Lyceum currently works in a mixed format, as the area of the simplest shelter, which the Lyceum employees arranged on their own, does not allow to accommodate all 320 schoolchildren studying here.

573 students receive education at the Bolgrad Lyceum.

“The institution works according to a mixed form of education. Part of the participants of the educational process (150 people) during an air raid goes to the simplest shelter, which is on the balance of the Bolgrad City Council. Other students study remotely. The institution plans to overhaul the basement for the construction of the simplest shelter. So all students will be able to study face-to-face, receiving appropriate educational services,” – reported on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science.

More than 900 children study at the Tatarbunar Lyceum. A one-story reinforced concrete civil defense building with six sections and external entrances will be built on the territory of the facility.
