Ukrposhta plans to restart the mobile application

The state postal operator “Ukrposhta” is preparing to relaunch the mobile application with extended functionality by the end of June this year. About this informs Forbes.
The general director of the company Ihor Smilyansky called the new application one of the main areas of work for 2025:
“We plan to launch the application by the end of the first half of the year. It will not just track parcels — we will add functions for interacting with customs, showing the estimated delivery date, the ability to confirm documents, see the history of shipments and payments.”
Initially, the launch was planned back in 2024, but it was postponed for technical reasons. The current version of the application receives low ratings in the App Store and Google Play due to limited functionality, in particular, the lack of notifications about changes in the status of the package. In the new application, it is expected to be able to redirect the shipment to another branch, which is currently possible only by phone or in person.
Smilyanskyi also reported that in 2024 the company invested about 1 billion hryvnias in the automation of processes.
“This amount takes into account guarantees for five years. Moreover, everything is our own financing”, – he emphasized.
According to him, more than 90% of parcels are currently delivered on time.
“I am measuring the effect of automation on Facebook and Tiktok. Previously, under each of my posts there were dozens or even hundreds of comments about how Ukrposhta delivers poorly. In the last two months, there have been almost zero. This is the most honest indicator for me, because it cannot be faked. We launched full automation, and now we are finalizing the IT system so that the customer can see the approximate delivery date when sending.” – concluded Ihor Smilyanskyi.
