Fuel prices in Ukraine have skyrocketed due to Israel’s war with Iran

A sharp jump in global oil prices due to the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran in the Middle East caused wholesale prices for gasoline and diesel fuel to rise. As a result, Ukraine started rapidly go up retail fuel prices.

Therefore, in the period from June 9 to 16, wholesale prices for gasoline in Ukraine increased by UAH 2.13 to UAH 49.28 per liter, diesel fuel by UAH 4.32 (to UAH 47.18 per liter), liquefied gas by UAH 1,120 per ton (by 60 kopecks per liter to UAH 28.06/liter).

At the same time, at gas stations, the price of a liter of A-95 gasoline rose by UAH 1.69 to UAH 56.28, diesel fuel by UAH 0.57/l (to UAH 53.06/l), and liquefied gas decreased by 10 kopecks (to UAH 34.16/l). In particular, premium chains OKKO and WOG raised the price of all gasoline by 2 hryvnias per liter (up to UAH 59.99/l), and SOCAR – up to UAH 58.66/l. Diesel fuel in these networks rose in price by 1 hryvnia to 56.99 hryvnias/l and 55.82 hryvnias/l, respectively.

In the “Avanjat”, VostokGaz and “Faktor” networks, A-95 gasoline rose in price by 3 hryvnias per liter, diesel fuel by 1 hryvnia and 1.5 hryvnias per liter, respectively. At the Ukrnafta gas station, the price of A-95 gasoline rose by UAH 2.50, the price of diesel fuel increased by 50 kopecks. — up to UAH 51.49/l.

In UPG, Shell, Mango, “Avtotrans”, Green Wave, RLS, Chipo networks, the price of A-95 increased by UAH 2-2.60 per liter. In other networks, the increase was on average UAH 0.50–1.60/l. According to experts’ forecasts, prices for diesel fuel at gas stations may increase by at least UAH 2 per liter. At the same time, the preconditions for the increase in gasoline prices existed before, so its cost will also continue to rise in view of the consequences of the conflict in the Middle East.
