Ukrzaliznytsia named trains in honor of the mothers of Ukrainian warriors.

For Mother’s Day, Ukrzaliznytsia held a symbolic initiative — on May 11, all trains running across the country were named after women who not only work on the railways, but also raised defenders of Ukraine. We are talking about the mothers of servicemen who are currently defending the country as part of the Defense Forces, are in captivity or died during a full-scale war.

In accordance with message Ukrzaliznytsia, this initiative is dedicated to the strongest women – mothers, who are the most reliable track of our lives, which leads us from the first breath to each new height.

“Today we congratulate all mothers of Ukraine: those who are waiting for the return of their children from the front; those who keep family warmth thousands of kilometers from home; those who fight every day for the future of their children.

In honor of Mother’s Day, all trains of Ukrzaliznytsia, which run across the country today, were named after railway women whose children protect all Ukrainians in the ranks of the Defense Forces of Ukraine; those who gave their lives; those who are in captivity…

Dedication trains will travel across the country today, reminding of the strength and devotion of Ukrainian mothers. These flights are thanks from the railway workers for the love of mothers, which moves us forward even in the darkest times.

Let every mother have more reasons for joy and smiles. Let your children be close – at a distance of hugs, not kilometers.” – emphasized in Ukrzaliznytsia.

In addition to Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukrposhta also joined the celebration: for Mother’s Day, it issued a new postage stamp with a limited edition of 320,000 copies. The author of the touching image was Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Okhapkin. The stamp shows a mother in arms with her son, a soldier, symbolizing the power of love, support and sacrifice.
