Another round of consultations between the delegations of Ukraine and the United States took place in Paris – the third in two days. The results of the negotiations were reported by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov.
According to him, the negotiations were attended by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Ambassador Charles Kushner, Jared Kushner, and White House representative Josh Gruenbaum. The Ukrainian side was represented by an interagency team with the participation of representatives of the security bloc, the Office of the President, and the parliament.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key elements of the basic framework for ending the war, as well as possible formats for further contacts, in particular at the level of leaders with the participation of Ukraine, European partners, and the United States.
“Based on the results of the day, we are preparing a detailed report to the President of Ukraine“, – Umerov reported.
Previously, President Zelensky stated that during the negotiations in Paris, the Ukrainian side plans to discuss with US representatives the issues of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and territories within the framework of the agreement to end the war.
