US promises $10 million for information on Russian hackers involved in attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure

The United States has announced a $10 million reward for information on five Russian hackers suspected of cyberattacks on critical infrastructure in the United States, Ukraine and other Western countries. About this reported US Embassy in Moldova.

The wanted list includes Vladislav Borovkov, Denis Denisenko, Yuriy Denisov, Dmytro Holoshubov and Mykola Korchagin. It is noted that these individuals are members of unit 29155 of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, which “carried out malicious cyber activities aimed at critical infrastructure facilities in the United States.”

“Officers of the GRU unit 29155 are responsible for attacks on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine and dozens of Western allied countries”, – says the message.

Anyone with any information about these officers, their activities, or any persons or entities associated with them, is urged to contact them using the special link on Tor.

We will remind that in August 2024, it was reported about the attempted hacking of the e-mail of the former US ambassador to Ukraine Steven Pifer. The attack was carried out by Russian hackers, likely linked to the Federal Security Service, using social engineering techniques. One member of the Russian hacker group Karakurt, which is engaged in attacks using ransomware, has been indicted in the United States.

In April 2025, it became known about an attack by the Russian-linked Cozy Bear group on diplomatic institutions in Europe. The attackers sent emails with titles like “Wine Tasting Event” and “Diplomatic Dinner.” At the end of April, the French authorities officially accused the Russian GRU of organizing cyber attacks, in particular during election campaigns and in the context of preparations for the Olympic Games.
