VAKS sentenced the ex-director of the military-industrial complex to 10 years in prison
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine found the former director of the state defense enterprise guilty of embezzlement and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. About this notifies VAX press service.
According to the indictment, the exhibitor deliberately used his official position against the interests of the company and, with a prior collusion with the director of the LLC, took possession of the funds of the state-owned enterprise, which he managed, in the amount of UAH 7,254,000. He was found guilty of committing the criminal offenses provided for in Part 5 of Art. 191, Part 2 of Art. 28 part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The court sentenced him to 10 years of imprisonment, as well as a ban on holding positions at enterprises, institutions and organizations of state and communal ownership (with a state package of more than 50%), related to organizational-management and administrative-economic functions, for a period of 3 years. In addition, all his property was confiscated and a fine of UAH 59,500 was imposed.
The term of serving the punishment will begin from the moment of the actual detention of the accused. The verdict can be challenged in an appeal procedure within 30 days from the day of its pronouncement by submitting an appeal through the Higher Anti-Corruption Court to the Appeals Chamber of the VAX.
