Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced an agreement with Russia to exchange 1,200 people
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi reported, that an agreement was reached with the Russian side on the exchange of 1,200 people. The corresponding lists are currently being processed. The statement was made after a meeting with the Secretary of the National Security Council Rustem Umyerov and the head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak.
Zelensky noted that Umerov reported on communication with the Russian representative regarding the exchange of prisoners between the two countries.
“There is an agreement on the exchange of 1,200 people, work on the lists continues… We are also working to unblock the return of our civilians, we are finding out data on each surname,” – the president explained.
During the meeting, the Secretary of the National Security Council also reported on the plans for the next meetings of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the topics that will be discussed at them.
“In particular, the issue of preparing the energy industry and all of our critical infrastructure for the heating season will be considered, as well as the development of Ukrainian air defense and our long-range strikes on Russian logistics. An audit of the implementation of NSDC decisions and rates is ongoing. Unfortunately, some decisions have not been implemented. This will be corrected immediately.” – said the head of state.
In addition, Zelenskyy said that Yermak reported on cooperation with the main international partners, including contacts with representatives of the USA, as well as on efforts aimed at the return of Ukrainian children taken to Russia.
