President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi spent the first meeting of the Technological Stavka. Its key topic was the protection of the Ukrainian sky from missiles and drones launched by Russian troops.
“This is a special format for the introduction of innovations in the field of defense, which unites scientists, weapons manufacturers and developers of technological solutions for the needs of our Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine. All necessary commanders, representatives of the army, intelligence and security forces also took part. The main focus today was on the primary task — protecting the sky. We discussed how to counter “shaheeds” and rockets. The conversation was long and detailed, and there are already the first developments regarding the strengthening of our air defense.” – noted Zelensky.
He also announced the next meeting in this format. It is planned to consider more specific steps to achieve the stated goals.
Over the past day, Russian forces have carried out one of the largest attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, launching 287 air strikes. Defense forces destroyed 161 missiles and drones, another 105 drones did not reach their targets. The President emphasized that such attacks demonstrate the need to further strengthen the country’s defense system.
