Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced new talks with Olaf Scholz

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi told about plans to hold talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to discuss a joint response to the escalation of the situation on the part of Russia.

“There is a conversation with German Chancellor Scholz on the schedule. We must together respond to Russia’s attempt to make the situation more intolerable and attempt to prolong this war.”, said the president.

Zelenskyi also said that the day before he held talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

“Now we need to strengthen our positions – the positions of Ukraine, the positions of our partners. We need to respond harshly to any Russian blackmail. The way Putin deserves it. And we need to see the prospect – the prospect of ending the war with real peace together with America, together with Europe, together with by all partners”, he added.

Zelensky expressed confidence that the current escalation on the part of Russia is aimed at prolonging the war and disrupting any peace initiatives, including initiatives that may be proposed by US President Donald Trump.
