Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the extension of martial law and mobilization for another 90 days
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed laws extending martial law and mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days, starting from November 5. This was reported by the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The President signed laws No. 14128 and No. 14129, according to which martial law and mobilization are extended from November 5, 2025, for another three months, until February 3, 2026, inclusive.
This is the 17th extension of martial law and mobilization since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The previous time the Verkhovna Rada adopted a corresponding decision was on July 15.
Martial law is a special legal regime introduced in connection with Russia’s full-scale aggression. It is introduced in the event of a threat to the independence or territorial integrity of the state.
The martial law regime grants additional powers to state authorities, military command, local administrations and self-government bodies to repel aggression and ensure the security of the state. Men aged 25 to 60 who have passed a medical examination are subject to mobilization. Women with medical education can also be mobilized, but only on a voluntary basis.
