Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a Stavka on preparing for the heating season and strengthening air defense
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where the main topics were preparation for the heating season and strengthening air defense.
“Held the Stavka. Lots of details on preparing for the heating season. The first is control over the execution of assignments and full implementation of agreements with partners. We have been preparing our energy sectors for winter since the summer. I am grateful to everyone who is involved and fully fulfills the assigned tasks. It is important to get ahead of the training schedule, taking into account all threats, Zelensky noted.
The President instructed the Secretary of the NSDC Rustem Umyerov to coordinate the government, regional administrations and energy companies for the purchase of additional short- and medium-range air defense systems, as well as to increase funding for drone manufacturers.
“The priority is to beat down the “shaheds”. Report on supplies weekly. Separately, they discussed the protection of networks and energy facilities in the front-line and border communities, backup provision, Zelenskyi emphasized.
During the meeting, reports were heard on extraction and supply of energy resources, electricity production. According to Zelenskyi, there are already significant results of the Naftogaz teams’ work. and “Ukrenergo”, and further steps to purchase the necessary volumes of gas were also approved.
“There was also a significant Air Force component. We are speeding up the supply of additional anti-missile defense systems. We count on maximum activity of Ukrainian diplomats in relevant contacts with partners.
We are preparing a technological Stavka with the participation of manufacturers of Ukrainian missiles, key types of drones and air defense equipment. Let’s increase the production of our means of destruction. The quality of Ukrainian deep strikes should significantly increase, – added the president of Ukraine.
