Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to parliament draft laws on the extension of martial law and mobilization

On October 20, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada draft laws proposing to extend martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days. This was reported by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

These are draft laws №14128 “Draft Law on Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine “On Extension of Martial Law in Ukraine” and №14129 “Draft Law on Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine “On Extension of the Term of General Mobilization”, registered in the parliament.

The documents have been submitted for consideration by the relevant committee. Currently, martial law and mobilization are in effect until November 5, and it is proposed to extend them until February 2026. The final decision must be made by the Verkhovna Rada during a vote in the session hall.

This will be the 17th vote on the extension of martial law and mobilization in the current convocation.

Recall that on July 15, the Verkhovna Rada supported the extension of martial law and mobilization for the sixteenth time, after which Zelensky signed the adopted laws on July 25.
