“Ways of Solidarity” brought Ukraine €50 billion in revenue

The European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Valean, said that the reorganization of logistics routes in Eastern Europe through “solidarity routes” two years ago ensured the economic stability of Ukraine and Moldova, and also helped to avoid the global food crisis.

About this it is said on the EU website.

Thanks to the “paths of solidarity”, the Ukrainian economy received about 50 billion euros in income, and also strengthened economic ties with the EU, imports from which reached about 107 billion euros. Through these corridors, more than 136 million tons of Ukrainian goods (grain, minerals, steel) were exported and more than 52 million tons of basic goods (fuel, vehicles, fertilizers, military and humanitarian aid) were imported.

The corridors pass through the Danube region, Poland, the Baltic and the Adriatic using rail, road and inland waterways. The European Commission and international financial organizations have mobilized more than 2 billion euros to support them.
