Witkoff met with Putin for the fourth time to discuss the settlement of the war

On April 25, the special representative of the US president, Steve Witkoff, arrived in Moscow to discuss issues related to the settlement of the war. During the visit, he met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This is reported by the Russian mass media.

Witkoff arrived in the Russian capital in the morning, as evidenced by the footage of the plane’s landing published in the Russian media. His first meeting in Moscow was a conversation with the general director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev. Later that day, Peskov confirmed that Vladimir Putin was receiving Witkoff in the Kremlin. The details of the conversation are currently not being disclosed.

This is Witkoff’s fourth meeting with Putin since Donald Trump’s return to the US presidential administration. The previous one took place on April 11 in St. Petersburg and lasted four and a half hours. Her results after the end of the negotiations were evaluated positively in the Kremlin. According to Yuriy Ushakov, assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, during the conversation, which lasted more than four hours, Ukrainian topics were mainly discussed, but other issues were also raised – both of a political and economic nature.

We will remind that Steve Witkoff is the special representative of the USA for the Middle East, as well as a participant in the negotiation process regarding the settlement of the war between Russia and Ukraine. He is responsible for conducting dialogue with the Russian side.
