YouTube Launches AI Tool That Creates Free Background Music For Videos
YouTube has introduced a new tool called Music Assistant, which allows content creators to create background music for videos using artificial intelligence for free. About this informs TechCrunch.
The tool was demonstrated in a video on the Creator Insider channel. It’s available within the Creator Music platform: in the Music Assistant tab, users can enter text queries or specify specific instruments, atmospheres or video genres.
According to the parameters entered, the artificial intelligence generates several options of free music tracks that you can download and use in your own videos. The new feature is rolling out gradually to creators who participate in the YouTube Partner Program and have access to Creator Music.
Previously, the company began testing the “Dream Track” function, which is based on DeepMind Lyria technology. It allows you to create short musical compositions in the style of popular artists, but is currently only available for instrumental tracks. YouTube is reportedly working on integrating Dream Track into Creator Music.
YouTube noted that the Dream Track experiment allows creators to create songs using the generated voices of artists who have consented to participate in the project. They include Charlie Puth, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato and John Legend. At the same time, it is currently not revealed which music labels have given permission to use the voices of their artists in this format.
