Zaluzhnyi made a statement about his participation in the elections

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny commented his potential participation in the elections, stressing that he is not changing his position at the moment: in the conditions of war, the primary task remains the protection of the state, and not participation in the political process.

Despite the active rumors, Zaluzhny maintains a discreet position. He did not comment on possible cooperation with the party of Volodymyr Zelenskyi or assumptions about a complete refusal to participate in any elections.

“My answer to this has not changed. While the war is going on, we all need to work for the preservation of the country, and not think about the elections. I do not comment on various rumors.” — noted Zaluzhnyi.

Meanwhile, political experts put forward different forecasts. Some analysts assume that Zaluzhny can become a presidential candidate, others believe that he will lead a political force that will participate in the parliamentary elections. Some observers indicate that the results of sociological surveys could influence the revision of his plans.

Recently, Zaluzhnyi appears less often in the information space, which raises additional questions. Unlike Volodymyr Zelenskyi, who actively communicates with international partners and participates in the public life of the country, Zaluzhny limits himself to individual statements.

Against this background, there are speculations that a new influential military leader may appear in the political arena. Among the possible figures, the head of the GUR Kirill Budanov is mentioned, as well as representatives of combat units – in particular, the 3rd Assault Brigade and “Azov”. Despite the fact that none of them has officially declared political ambitions, the results of polls demonstrate a high level of public trust in representatives of the military community.
