Zelenskiy’s visit to the United States has led to a state of uncertainty for Ukraine: The Washington Post

More than a week has passed since the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to the USA, where he presented his ambitious “Victory Plan”. However, it remains unclear how exactly his strategy was received in Washington.
As writes The Washington Post, despite all the efforts of the Ukrainian leader, his trip did not cause significant resonance among American political elites. The administration of President Joe Biden has not made concessions regarding the ban on the task of deep strikes on the territory of Russia. Meanwhile, Zelensky himself found himself at the center of the pre-election struggle, where his actions are evaluated through the prism of political competition between candidates for the post of US president.
As the publication notes, the situation for Ukraine remains uncertain, as the country continues to rely on the United States as the main ally in the war with Russia. However, there is uncertainty about how long such support will last, as attention to the conflict gradually wanes in the third year of the war. In addition, the situation is complicated by the escalation of tensions in the Middle East, which may divert the attention of the US from the Ukrainian issue.
Zelenskyi will have another opportunity to present his “Victory Plan” during the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, which will be held in Ramstein. Biden will also attend this conference. Although the Ukrainian president was unable to get restrictions on the use of missiles lifted, one Western diplomat said on condition of anonymity, Kyiv may receive another form of support during this meeting.
Also, NATO countries continue to look for specific ways to promote Ukraine to membership in the alliance. However, according to diplomats, these steps will probably not be implemented as quickly as Kyiv expects.
