Zelensky assessed the talks in Abu Dhabi as constructive and allowed them to continue next week

President Volodymyr Zelensky positively assessed the talks between Ukraine, the United States and the Russian Federation, which took place in Abu Dhabi, and did not rule out the possibility of their continuation next week.

The head of state announced this after receiving the report of the Ukrainian delegation on the results of the two-day trilateral meetings. According to Zelensky, this format of negotiations has not been used for a long period, and during this time the parties managed to discuss a significant amount of issues. The President stressed that the dialogue was constructive.

He specified that the key topic of the negotiations was the potential parameters for ending the war. Special attention, he said, was paid to the role of the United States in monitoring and controlling the process of ending the war, as well as ensuring real security. The American side, as Zelensky noted, initiated discussions on possible formats for consolidating the parameters of ending the war and the security conditions necessary for this.

Following the results of the meetings, the parties agreed to inform the leadership of their states about all aspects of the negotiations and then agree on further actions.

“Following the results of the meetings these days, all parties agreed to report in their capitals on each aspect of the negotiations and agree on further steps with the leaders. The military determined a list of issues for a possible next meeting. Provided that Ukraine is ready to move forward – and Ukraine is ready – further meetings will be held, and potentially next week. I look forward to the delegation’s personal report upon its return”, – Zelenskyy reported.

The American delegation included Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Dan Driscoll, Alex Hrynkevich and Josh Grynbaum. The Russian side was represented by military intelligence and armed forces officials.
